The Tournament Scout is an independent guide to this summer's football. It's not run by a big company, it's just me, one person who loves watching tournament football.

I'm Craig, a lifelong football watcher, former videogames marketing director (currently between roles), and habitual tournament obsessive. I built The Tournament Scout especially for the 2026 World Cup, as I think this year's tournament is going to offer something special. The unbridled chaos of 48 teams, a whole shedload of players, the huge stage of the USA / Canada / Mexico and a lot of unknowns suddenly popping onto the radar.

If I get it right, it should be a healthy antidote to mainstream coverage, shining the spotlight on the lesser-known teams and players. Of course, I'll also be touching on the big hitters as I go.
